About H Doyle Smith
H Doyle Smith knows America better than many citizens do. He grew up in North Carolina and attended College at Wake Forest University. After a couple of years at that school, he enlisted in the Army, Where he was involved in the airborne, supply services, tank surveillance, and military intelligence, where he served in the Pentagon. Leaving the army, he attended The University of Arizona, acquiring a Bachelor of Science Degree in general business. He has taken courses at the University of Tennessee, Georgia State University, Kent State, and Akron University. He holds a master’s degree in two-year college teaching from Western Carolina.
Three of his children are near retirement, One was born in Fresno, California, one in Taos New Mexico, and a third in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He has lived in 10 states, worked in 22, and visited all but Hawaii.
As a CPA for thirty years, he has become knowledgeable in at least 42 businesses, including health care. Formerly married to a Physical Therapist for 25 years, he was a hospital controller in North Carolina for three. His exposure to health propelled him to study Medicare, where he found serious problems, systematically
